These are active schooling fish, happiest in a tank with some open room for swimming and some planted areas. They are sensitive to changes in water quality and should be acclimatized carefully. Small regular partial water changes are recommended to keep water quality stable.

A good quality tropical flake or granules, frozen shrimp and worms foods, daphnia.

Sexing: 

males are more colourful and have extended fin filaments.
