  • Common Name: None
  • Locations Collected From: Mbamba Bay Island and Chuwa(south coast of Mbamba Bay).
  • Approximate Size:  4.5 inches with females staying slightly smaller.
  • Food: Not picky.  Did not refuse anything I offered them. 
  • Water Conditions:  Tolerant of a 7.5pH – 8.5pH and a temperature range of 75 – 82 degrees F.
  • Breeding Behavior: Mouthbrooder.  Males are quite aggressive towards females and even with a lot of females and rock work you still might have problems with aggression.  I got small spawns usually between 15 – 20 per spawn.
  • Tankmates: Will aggressively defend their territory and should be put with other species that can defend themselves.
